Under Government Resolution 2024 and its accompanying procedures, citizens must allow their savings to accumulate through investment until 2030. 2030 onwards savings may be used for the following purposes:

• - Down payment for housing
• - Tuition fees for higher education
• - Medical insurance fee, medical expenses incurred abroad

Housing and tuition payments can be used within Mongolia, while medical expenses are eligible only if the treatment was received outside the country.
