Providing Information and Gathering Public Feedback on the Sovereign Wealth Fund
A joint "Open Doors Day" organized by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and the Ministry of Energy is currently taking place at the central square. Representatives from "Chinggis Khaan Sovereign Wealth Fund" LLC are actively participating in the event to share information, gather public feedback, and assist citizens in checking their personal accounts within the Savings Fund.
"Chinggis Khaan Sovereign Wealth Fund" LLC is committed to building policies for distributing the yields of Mongolia's mineral wealth fairly to both current and future generations. To achieve this, the company is prioritizing transparency and creating robust opportunities for public oversight. Simultaneously, the company is laying the groundwork to implement a stable, independent, and professional asset management system for the Sovereign Wealth Fund.
The Sovereign Wealth Fund operates through three specialized branches: the Future Heritage Fund, the Savings Fund, and the Development Fund. Because the Savings Fund generates the most inquiries from the public, we want to highlight how it works.
The Savings Fund is built on direct citizen participation. Its primary objective is to finance services and provide support to meet the housing, educational, and healthcare needs of Mongolian citizens.
How to Check Your Savings Account
Citizens can easily check their personal savings balance through the E-Mongolia platform by following these steps:
- Log in to E-Mongolia
- Go to the "Profile" section
- Select "My Government Records"
- Click on "Chinggis Khaan Sovereign Wealth Fund"
The funds deposited into your account are direct accumulations mandated by the Sovereign Wealth Fund Law, ensuring that the benefits of Mongolia's subsoil wealth are distributed equitably. Currently, 34 percent of the state-owned dividends generated by mining companies under the "Erdenes Mongol" group are being allocated directly into this fund.
