Prime Minister Meets with License Holders of Strategic Mining Deposits

On September 22, Prime Minister G.Zandanshatar met with representatives of enterprises holding special licenses for strategically important mining deposits to discuss negotiations and future cooperation.

Currently, 41 legal entities hold 81 licenses for exploration and exploitation across 16 deposits of national significance.

The Prime Minister emphasized that transparency, the rule of law, and mutually beneficial cooperation must be the foundation of public–private relations in the mining sector. He also outlined three core principles the Government is pursuing:

- Ensuring that every citizen benefits from mining resources, in line with the Constitution,

- Building a productive, responsible, and competitive public–private partnership,

- Strengthening the National Sovereign Wealth Fund to secure Mongolia’s future.

Mining companies expressed their readiness to work with the Government in support of these goals and to align with the Constitution, the National Sovereign Wealth Fund framework, and the Law on Minerals.
