Chinggis Khaan Sovereign Wealth Fund Highlights Mongolia's Vision at Milken Institute Asia Summit 2025

The Chinggis Khaan Sovereign Wealth Fund (CKSWF) participated at the prestigious Milken Institute Asia Summit 2025, held from October 1st to 3rd in Singapore. Under the theme "Progress with Purpose," the summit convened over 1,200 global leaders and investors to address critical challenges and opportunities shaping the future of Asia and the world.

CKSWF's participation was strategically focused on enhancing the Fund's international profile, fostering partnerships, and articulating Mongolia's long-term vision for sustainable wealth management. CEO Temuulen Bayaraa played a prominent role, contributing insights as a panelist in two high-level sessions.

During the CEO Breakfast discussion, focused on leadership amidst geopolitical challenges and transformative innovation, Ms. Bayaraa emphasized CKSWF's unique mandate rooted in Mongolia's Constitution—to convert finite mineral wealth into permanent assets for all generations. She highlighted the Fund's foundational strategy: building a resilient, "digital-native" institution insulated by independent governance yet relevant through its long-term, purpose-driven mission. Key trends shaping the Fund's vision, including Mongolia's potential in critical minerals supply chains and renewable energy, were also discussed.

In the panel discussion titled "Valuations, Volatility, and the Future of Alternatives," Ms. Bayaraa shared CKSWF's perspective as an emerging sovereign investor committed to disciplined, counter-cyclical capital deployment. She underscored the importance of establishing robust governance frameworks aligned with global best practices like the Santiago Principles before actively managing assets. 

As one of the world's newest sovereign wealth funds, CKSWF's presence at the Milken Institute Asia Summit underscored Mongolia's commitment to building a transparent, professional, and globally integrated institution. The Fund continues its foundational work to ensure that Mongolia's resource wealth is managed responsibly, creating sustainable value and strengthening national resilience for generations to come.
